Students of varying ages and experience levels are welcome. Previous voice training is not required.

  • Musical theatre and performance coaching
  • Song interpretation and storytelling
  • Audition and callback preparation
  • Repertoire selection
  • Confidence-building and stage presence

Each student’s training is personalized according to their age, experience, goals, interests,

and current vocal development.

Getting Set Up in Acuity Scheduling

Students who wish to continue must:

  1. Complete studio registration
  2. Review and accept the Luss Vocal Studio policies
  3. Pay the annual $45 registration fee + monthly tuition (prorated if mid month start)
  4. Enroll in an available monthly lesson membership
  5. Add a valid payment method to the studio billing system

Current monthly membership rates are:

  • 30-Minute Private Lesson Membership: $154 per month
  • 60-Minute Private Lesson Membership: $308 per month

Membership provides lesson credits according to the annual studio calendar and continued access to studio scheduling while enrollment remains active.

Recurring weekly lesson times may be available, but placement depends on the current studio schedule. Students may also schedule lessons as needed from available appointment times.

LVS Membership Policy

2026–2027 Studio Year

Luss Vocal Studio operates through a flexible monthly lesson-membership model. Monthly tuition reserves the student’s place in the studio and provides access to private voice lessons based on the student’s available lesson credits, studio availability, and the published studio calendar.

Studio Year and Annual Membership

The 2026–2027 Luss Vocal Studio year runs from June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027.

Full-year enrollment includes 35 regular private lesson credits. Annual tuition is divided into 12 equal monthly payments.

Monthly tuition reserves the student’s place in the studio and continued access to scheduling. Tuition is not based on attendance during a particular month or on a guaranteed number of lessons during each calendar month.

The number of available teaching days may vary because of holidays, studio breaks, professional development, and the natural layout of the calendar. These variations are already considered within the annual lesson-credit structure.

Prorated Enrollment

Students who enroll after June 1 will receive a prorated membership based on their approved start date and the remaining portion of the studio year. The student’s initial payment and number of available lesson credits will be calculated by Luss Vocal Studio according to the enrollment date, remaining teaching calendar, and applicable lesson membership. After the initial prorated period, the student will be billed the regular monthly membership rate.

Tuition and Lesson Memberships

Current Monthly Tuition

30-Minute Private Lesson Membership: $154 per month
60-Minute Private Lesson Membership: $308 per month

Tuition rates and studio fees are reviewed periodically and may be adjusted as studio expenses, services, scheduling systems, and program needs change. Families will receive advance written notice before any tuition or fee adjustment takes effect.

Lesson-Credit Lengths

Each regular lesson credit corresponds to the lesson length included in the student’s enrolled membership.

A 30-minute membership provides 30-minute lesson credits. A 60-minute membership provides 60-minute lesson credits.

Lesson credits may not be divided, combined, exchanged, or converted to a different lesson length unless approved in advance and in writing by Luss Vocal Studio.

Annual Registration Fee

A non-refundable annual registration fee of $45 is required for each student upon enrollment and renews annually on August 1.

The instructional studio year begins June 1. The annual registration cycle renews August 1 to align with fall enrollment, student account administration, and scheduling-system updates.

The annual registration fee helps cover:

  • Student account setup
  • Scheduling and billing systems
  • Administrative expenses
  • Recordkeeping and communication
  • Studio resources and materials

Each student must complete an individual registration, including students participating through a shared family membership.

Introductory Lessons and Consultations

Prospective students may begin with an introductory lesson or consultation, depending on the option offered by Luss Vocal Studio.

An introductory appointment allows the teacher and student to work together, discuss the student’s goals, and determine whether Luss Vocal Studio is an appropriate fit.

An introductory lesson or consultation does not reserve a recurring lesson time or guarantee future studio availability.

Students who choose to continue must complete registration, pay the annual registration fee, enroll in an available monthly lesson membership, and maintain a valid payment method through the studio’s billing system.

Annual Lesson-Credit Structure

Full-year enrollment includes 35 regular private lesson credits.

The suggested seasonal distribution is:

  • Summer/Start-Up: 6 credits
  • Fall: 14 credits
  • Spring: 15 credits
  • Total: 35 credits

The seasonal distribution is a planning guide. Families may schedule their available lesson credits flexibly within studio availability but may not substantially exceed the seasonal allotment without prior approval.

This structure helps prevent families from accumulating a large number of unused credits near the end of the studio year, when lesson availability may be limited.

Specific monthly credit recommendations and all studio closures are listed in the separate Luss Vocal Studio Calendar and Credit Schedule.

Scheduling Lessons

Lessons are scheduled through Acuity unless otherwise announced by Luss Vocal Studio.

Lessons may be scheduled in one of the following ways:

  • As-needed scheduling using available appointment times
  • A recurring weekly lesson time when an appropriate opening is available

Lessons must be booked at least five hours in advance.

Recurring weekly lesson times are held only while the student’s membership remains active and the account remains in good standing.

A recurring appointment does not guarantee that a lesson will occur every calendar week. Lessons are not held during published studio breaks, closures, or unavailable teaching dates.

Families remain responsible for monitoring lesson-credit balances and scheduling remaining credits before they expire.

Acuity Account Setup and Scheduling Codes

Each family is responsible for completing the required Acuity account setup and using the correct student information, appointment type, and scheduling code when booking lessons.

Each family should create and manage one Acuity client account using the parent or responsible adult’s email address. The same account and email address should be used each time an appointment is scheduled so lesson credits, memberships, packages, and appointments remain connected correctly.

When scheduling an appointment, families must enter the full name of the student who will attend the lesson while continuing to use the parent or guardian’s email address and phone number for appointment confirmations and studio communication.

Families participating in Family Flex must enter the correct attending student’s name for every appointment, even when lesson credits are shared between siblings.

When prompted during scheduling, families must enter the active package, membership, or scheduling code provided by Luss Vocal Studio so the correct lesson credit is applied to the appointment.

Scheduling codes are connected to the family’s active studio membership and may not be shared with friends, extended family members, or anyone outside the approved membership.

Families should remain logged into the same Acuity account when scheduling and should not create duplicate accounts. Duplicate accounts may cause lesson credits, appointments, memberships, or student information to appear incorrectly.

An appointment is not confirmed until the family receives an Acuity confirmation email or text. Before completing the booking, families are responsible for reviewing the:

  • Student’s full name
  • Appointment date and time
  • Lesson length
  • Lesson location or online option
  • Correct scheduling code or lesson credit

If a scheduling code does not work or a lesson-credit balance appears incorrect, families should contact Luss Vocal Studio before booking another appointment, creating another account, or submitting an additional payment.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Attendance

Luss Vocal Studio uses a flexible lesson-credit system rather than a traditional make-up lesson system.

A scheduled lesson may be canceled or rescheduled at least five hours before the appointment time.

When the required notice is provided, the lesson credit remains available on the student’s account and may be used to schedule another appointment within studio availability, provided the membership remains active and the credit has not expired.

Scheduling another appointment with an available lesson credit is considered a rescheduled lesson, not a make-up lesson. Luss Vocal Studio does not create or owe an additional lesson credit because an appointment was canceled.

A particular replacement date, time, week, recurring appointment, or additional teaching day cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellations made less than five hours before the scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of the lesson credit.

Missed lessons and no-shows also forfeit the lesson credit.

A forfeited credit will not be refunded, replaced, restored, transferred, or converted into another form of studio credit.

Late arrival does not extend the scheduled lesson time. Lessons will end at the originally scheduled conclusion time so the following student’s appointment is not delayed.

Illness and Online Lesson Options

Luss Vocal Studio is committed to maintaining a healthy teaching environment. Because the teacher has a compromised immune system, families are asked to take all signs of illness seriously and avoid exposing the teacher or other students to contagious conditions.

Students should not attend an in-person lesson if they are experiencing:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting or stomach illness
  • Flu, COVID-19, strep, or similar symptoms
  • A persistent or worsening cough
  • Symptoms of another known or suspected contagious illness
  • Any condition that could reasonably expose the teacher or another student to illness

Students who have mild cold symptoms, sniffles, or congestion but still feel well enough to sing may attend their scheduled lesson online instead of coming to the studio.

Families should contact Luss Vocal Studio before the appointment so that an online lesson link or alternate instructions can be provided. Moving an appointment online does not create an additional lesson credit and does not change the scheduled lesson length.

If a student is too ill to participate online, the regular cancellation and rescheduling policy applies.

Luss Vocal Studio may require a lesson to be moved online, ended, or rescheduled if a student arrives displaying symptoms of a potentially contagious illness.

Even a minor illness can cause the teacher to miss several days of lessons. Families are therefore asked to err on the side of caution and choose the online option whenever there is uncertainty.

Studio-Initiated Cancellations

When Luss Vocal Studio must cancel a scheduled lesson, the student will not lose the lesson credit.

If the credit was deducted, it will be returned to the student’s account and may be used to schedule another available appointment.

The studio will make reasonable efforts to provide alternate scheduling opportunities. However, a particular replacement date, time, recurring appointment, or additional teaching day cannot be guaranteed.

When appropriate, the studio may offer an online lesson instead of canceling an in-person appointment.

Lesson Environment and Parent Observation

Luss Vocal Studio lessons are held in a private home-studio environment.

Students generally make better progress when they are able to work independently with the teacher. Parents and guardians are therefore asked not to sit in on regular lessons unless observation is necessary because of the student’s age, comfort, medical needs, or another special circumstance approved in advance.

Most families may drop off their student and wait in their vehicle. A parent or guardian may also wait quietly in the designated living area when needed.

The studio is also home to Leo, a friendly dog who enjoys attention and pets. Families should notify Luss Vocal Studio in advance of any allergies, fears, or other concerns involving animals.

Rollover Credits and Expiration

Unused regular lesson credits may roll from month to month while the student remains actively enrolled.

Students and families are responsible for scheduling and using their available lesson credits.

Studio availability may become limited during busy periods and near the end of the studio year. Rollover credits do not guarantee specific appointment dates, recurring times, additional teaching days, or additional studio availability.

All regular 2026–2027 lesson credits expire on May 31, 2027.

Expired credits cannot be:

  • Refunded
  • Transferred
  • Extended
  • Converted to cash
  • Applied toward future tuition
  • Carried into the following studio year

Legacy Carry-Over Credits

Legacy carry-over or courtesy credits remaining from a previous studio year or scheduling system must be scheduled and used no later than August 31, 2026.

These credits are being honored as a one-time courtesy and do not guarantee specific lesson dates, times, or additional availability outside the published studio calendar.

Any unused legacy credits remaining after August 31, 2026 will expire and be removed from the student’s account.

Legacy credits cannot be refunded, transferred, extended, converted to cash, or applied toward future tuition.

Credit Reconciliation During the System Transition

As Luss Vocal Studio transitions scheduling and billing systems, student accounts will be reviewed and updated to reflect the correct number of available lesson credits.

The 35 regular lesson credits included with full-year enrollment apply to the entire 2026–2027 studio year, beginning June 1, 2026 and ending May 31, 2027.

These are not 35 new credits added on top of lessons already completed during the current studio year. Regular lessons already taken after June 1, 2026 count toward the student’s 35 annual lesson credits.

Credits transferred from Acuity, My Music Staff, or another scheduling record will be reconciled using the student’s actual lesson history and account records.

Legacy or courtesy credits from the previous studio year are separate from the 35 regular annual credits and must be used by their published expiration date.

Legacy credits do not:

  • Extend the current studio year
  • Create additional tuition credit
  • Increase the number of regular annual lesson credits
  • Guarantee additional scheduling availability

Families should contact Luss Vocal Studio promptly if they believe their displayed lesson-credit balance is incorrect.

Payment Policy

Tuition is billed monthly through the studio’s current billing system.

Monthly tuition is due and automatically billed on the first day of each month unless another written payment arrangement has been approved by Luss Vocal Studio.

Monthly tuition is one equal installment toward the student’s annual membership and included annual lesson credits. It does not purchase a guaranteed number of lessons during each individual month.

Families are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method on file.

If a payment is declined, canceled, disputed, or becomes past due, scheduling access and recurring lesson reservations may be paused until the account is brought current.

All tuition payments, registration fees, Family Flex fees, introductory lesson fees, and other studio fees are non-refundable.

Withdrawal or Cancellation of Membership

A student’s monthly membership may be canceled at any time through the studio’s billing system or by providing written notice to Luss Vocal Studio.

Cancellation stops future billing once the membership cancellation has been processed. Payments already made are non-refundable and will not be prorated.

Any unused regular, rollover, bonus, transferred, courtesy, or legacy lesson credits are forfeited when the membership is canceled.

Lessons may not be scheduled or used after the membership cancellation date.

A recurring weekly lesson time will be released when the membership ends.

Re-enrollment is subject to current tuition rates, registration requirements, and studio availability. A previous recurring appointment cannot be guaranteed.

Early Withdrawal and Credit Reconciliation

Tuition is based on an annual studio membership divided into monthly installments. Lesson credits are allotted throughout the studio year according to the Studio Calendar and Credit Schedule.

If a student withdraws before May 31, 2027, the student’s account will be reviewed before the withdrawal is finalized.

If the student has used more regular lesson credits than have been allotted or financially covered as of the withdrawal date, the family will be responsible for the value of the additional lessons used.

For reconciliation purposes, the value of one regular lesson credit will be calculated by dividing the student’s applicable annual tuition—12 monthly tuition payments—by the 35 regular lesson credits included in the full studio year.

Luss Vocal Studio may charge the payment method on file for outstanding tuition, excess lesson-credit usage, approved fees, or other amounts owed before the account is closed.

Unused lesson credits are forfeited upon withdrawal and will not be refunded, transferred, or carried forward.

The annual registration fee is non-refundable.

Studio Conduct and Discontinuation of Enrollment

Luss Vocal Studio is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.

Students and family members are expected to communicate respectfully, follow studio policies, and avoid behavior that interferes with instruction or creates an unsafe or disruptive environment.

Luss Vocal Studio reserves the right to suspend scheduling access or discontinue a student’s enrollment when:

  • An account remains unpaid
  • Studio policies are repeatedly disregarded
  • There are repeated missed lessons or misuse of the scheduling system
  • A student or family member engages in threatening, abusive, harassing, unsafe, or seriously disruptive behavior
  • The studio determines that continued enrollment is no longer an appropriate instructional fit

Any tuition, lesson balances, fees, or other financial obligations incurred before the enrollment ends will remain due.

Studio Calendar and Closures

Planned teaching dates, breaks, closures, seasonal lesson-credit recommendations, and credit-expiration dates are listed in the separate Luss Vocal Studio Calendar and Credit Schedule.

Families are responsible for reviewing the calendar and scheduling lessons before the applicable expiration dates.

Studio schedules, teaching dates, systems, rates, and policies may be updated when necessary. Families will receive written notice of significant changes.

Any individual exception, discount, special arrangement, or modified policy is valid only when approved in writing by Luss Vocal Studio.

Enrollment in Luss Vocal Studio and continued payment of monthly tuition confirm acceptance of the current studio policies.
